My name is Martin and for the past two years I have been a digital designer (UX/UI) at Capco Bratislava. Capco has given me the opportunity to work on a number of international projects. Specifically, I worked with a big re-insurance company to bring their new insurance tool to life. It was a pleasant couple of months in Paris :) I also helped deliver a mobile app for interactive investing for a British investment company. This was to develop with a hybrid mobile app technology called Ionic and some other modern day stack technologies. Currently, I am working with a Swiss bank to create a new front office application for their financial advisors and clients. This is pretty huge project build on Angular 6, node.js, web sockets. Not only that, but we are designing great customer experiences too. I love that Capco allows me to work with huge financial companies. Besides the work, the colleagues here are absolutely amazing and it is always a pleasure to work with them.
I joined Capco almost four years ago. I was looking for a company that could offer me an environment for my career growth and an opportunity to express and realize my ideas. I had the pleasure to be part of various assignments in different regions of Europe. I experienced setting up a new bank from scratch and saw it starting its day-to-day operations, which was a huge program. I have experienced start up transformation too. Capco encourages me with my long-term professional qualification ambitions, such as the CFA Charter.
My name is Karol and I have been with Capco since the beginning of Capco's Slovakia journey in 2012.
I started my career as a tester / test analyst, spending my first two years on a project located in Germany. Later on, I took the challenge to lead Capco Bratislava's testing capability, being responsible for internal development, standardization of processes, training and people development from an internal perspective, as well as being test manager for regulatory projects in Germany and Austria.
After five great years, I decided to change my career due to family reasons, and am currently leading the Shared Services Team. Currently, we are supporting onboarding, recruiting and people management areas in Germany, Switzerland and Slovakia. We're aiming to extend our service coverage to even more countries and services in the near future.
Capco is a good example of employer that shows that internal knowledge and loyal employees are highly valued, and even if one's career direction might change, there are endless possibilities in how to utilize their strengths.
